THAIN

4501 Archers    $23.50
The most skillful hunters of a tribe frequently go to war as archers. The tribes, with the exception of the Eagle tribe, don't consider the bow as a particularly honourable weapon, however the chieftains have no objections against the losses inflicted by the archers against lightly armoured opponents.

4502 Skirmishers    $23.50
Skirmisher units usually consist of the young warriors of a tribe. They either do not have the experience necessary to stand their ground in the turmoil of a melee, or they still have to prove their worth as warriors.

4503 Spearbearers    $23.50
A large portion of the tribe warriors move into battle armed with a spear. The spear, owing to its ease of manufacture, became a popular weapon of the tribes and proved, in the first battles on the mainland, to be an effective weapon against cavalry, which is foreign to Thain armies.

4504 Warriors    $23.50
These units consist of the best warriors of a tribe, normally older and experienced men. These men are sufficiently prosperous to afford a sword that is sometimes even forged from iron.

4505 Savage Warriors    $23.50
Many Thain warriors spend the night before a battle getting drunk on masses of mead, in which the Shamans have mixed heady herbs. Once these warriors are on the battlefield they are virtually consumed with battle fury - some also say with headaches.

4506 Wolfmen    $19.50
Some members of the Wolf tribe are so spiritually near to their totem that they are able to let the spirit of Wolf take over their body. When this occurs they change into beings, half human, half wolf, who drop their weapons and charge their opponents with wild growls, tearing them to pieces and devouring their flesh.

4507 The King's Wolves    $19.50
This elite unit was created by Lasser'rak, one of Tjarven'reys companions, to serve the High King as special body guards. The unit consists of the best warriors of the Wolf tribe and are provided, by the Dorga church, with the best weapons that Thain has to offer.

4508 Eagle Archers    $19.50
The Eagle tribe has always had the most renowned archers that Thain produced, and this unit is no exception to that. The members of this unit always try to attack quickly and with deadly effect, in the same manner as their namesake does with his claws.

4509 Eagle Arrow    $8.00
Old tales tell of a time long ago when the Eagle tribe had to defend themselves against huge Gar'ydwen that lived in the mountains. Their skin was however so thick that an arrow would not even scratch it. Thus the Eagle-Warriors built bigger and bigger bows, at last even mobile ones, until they could finally kill the Gar'ydwen with a single shot.

4510 Ghost Bears    $19.50
The Ghost Bears are comprised of the biggest men in the Bear tribe that is already well known for its very tall warriors. These giants wear armour and bearskins and wield gigantic swords in battle that are capable of splitting a man in two with a single blow.

4511 The Raging Boars    $19.50
The trademark of this unit are the gigantic horns which adorn their helmets. The horns are taken from the tusks of particularly large boars, and when the warriors charge their opponents with lowered heads they frequently pierce the best armour plating.

4513 Gar'nar'og    $12.00
The Gar'nar'og has the temperament of a winter storm and is only controlled by its rider with extreme effort. Due to the innate blood-lust of these beings, however, it is sufficient for them to be steered into the right direction during a battle. The rest the Gar'nar'og do completely on their own.

4514 Gar'worgar    $16.50
The Gar'worgar, like its relative the Gar'nar'og, reaches a shoulder height of a good four meters. The animal possesses a densely matted type of hair over its whole body that protects it against attacks.

4516 Gar'ydwedd with Archers    $32.50
Since the Gar'ydwedd are more easily controlled than the other Gar'ydwens, the Thain tribes fit them with a platform which can take up either a handful of archers or a slightly smaller version of an Eagle Arrow. The warriors on these platforms are so high above the battlefield that the only way to fight them is with missile weapons or magic.

4517 Gar'ydwedd with Ballista    $32.50
Since the Gar'ydwedd are more easily controlled than the other Gar'ydwens, the Thain tribes fit them with a platform which can take up either a handful of archers or a slightly smaller version of an Eagle Arrow. The warriors on these platforms are so high above the battlefield that the only way to fight them is with missile weapons or magic.

4518 Gar'arryds    $16.50
The "big pigs" are by far the smallest of the Gar'ydwen. It appears however that as a result of their proverbially bad moods they are even more unpleasant than their larger relatives. They resemble gigantic boars and their back is covered with elevated, spiky bristles.

4519 Tur-Gar'arryd    $12.00
The more prosperous warriors of a tribe often yoke especially powerful Gar'arryds in front of huge chariots made from strong, wooden planks. The single axle waggons are built with high side-walls which protect the crew against hostile attacks.
