A mantlet is a drive- or carry-able construction made from thin boards or wickerwork that can be carried along by infantry units and provides increased protection against missile attacks.

Familiars are beings that have been magically influenced or created. They possess special abilities that are useful to a wizard. A Familiar is always affiliated with a particular wizard and supports the wizard in his activities by assisting his Lord and Master in the casting of spells, protecting him in battle or similar duties.
