Noble Footsoldiers $23.50
The members of this unit are recruited from the so-called
'poor aristocracy' of the Empire. They have sufficient wealth and fortune to
provide weapons and armour for themselves, but not sufficient funds for a horse.

Berserkers $23.50
The Berserkers belong to a widespread breed of humans in
the North. They are men who can be flung into a wild frenzy in which they
encounter no pain, know no fear and are able to fight with super-human strength.

Mounted Knights of the Order $32.39
The Knights of the Order of the Purifying Light ride on
heavy battle-stallions, that are protected with metal plated armour. They use
lances and shields and a longsword, a battle-axe or a mace as a hand weapon.

Imperial Arquebusiers $23.50
This unit was brought into existence by Emperor Erwyn IX.
at the time that the alliance pact between the Empire and the Dwarf Kingdom
Gaeta was signed. Although the Dwarves enjoyed using the arquebuses, they were
first to be tested in the Empire in order to determine whether these firearms
could be effectively used in battle.

Knights of the Order $23.50
The Knights of the Order of the Purifying Light are
fanatical warriors and are regarded as the most courageous warriors of the
Empire. Knights of the Order operate in close order, they are clad in heavy
platemail and are armed with a double-handed weapon.

Chariot $12.00
The chariots were introduced in the Imperial South Mark
some decades ago. A typical chariot is drawn by four horses and has a crew of
two men, who are equipped with chain mail and shield, javelins and hand weapons.

Dragonrider $12.00
The Dragonriders were raised by the current Emperor
Berill XII. only a few years ago. After the winged Dragons of the Kalbrai
mountains near the capital had been successfully bred and tamed for battle, they
were used as flying mounts. The Dragonriders protect themselves with a shield
and are armed with a hand weapon.

Wizards and Magicians 1 $6.50
All Imperial citizens capable of magic are obliged to
join the Magicians' Guild. The Guild places their best wizards and magicians at
the Emperor's disposal, to protect the Royal premises from spells that could
harm either the Emperor himself or his trusted ones. With the figures contained
in this pack, the characters Malagor, Furik and Shiron Khybar can be
represented.

The Noble Lancers wear suits of armour and are equipped
with lances, hand weapons and shields. Their battle-stallions are protected by
chain-mail over which a cloth armor is laid.

The Noble Light Cavalry wear breastplates and ride
cloth-armoured horses. Their weapons consist of maces, longswords or battle-axes
and a shield.

The infantry of the Provincial Army is equipped with
shields, helmets and breastplates. A shorts word serves as a melee weapon.

Pikemen of the Provincial Army

Pikemen are protected by breastplates and carry pikes as
their weapons. They operate in close order, are unwavering in melee and
therefore extremely difficult to defeat.

Crossbowmen of the Provincial Army $23.50
The crossbowmen are unarmored and use shields to protect
themselves. Besides their crossbows they merely have an improvised weapon.

Mounted Lancers of the Provincial Army $32.50
The light cavalry use unarmored horses. The riders are
clad in leather armour and carry a lance, a long sword and a shield.

The Mob

The mob is a less reputable part of many of the
Provincial Armies. It consists of conscripted members of the lowest social
classes and convicted criminals. Equipped with provisional weapons, they are led
onto the battlefield in chains.

The Novices of the Order of the Purifying Light are
warriors that are still in training. They therefore only participate in battles
in absolute emergencies and are then organized into smaller units.

Master of the Order

The Masters of the Order of the Purifying Light are a
specially selected, but only small unit of experienced Knights of the Order.
Their equipment hardly differs from that of the Mounted Knights of the Order.
What is particularly noticeable about this unit is their lavishly decorated
crests.

The Altar of the Purifying Flame

The Altar of the Purifying Flame is the symbol of the
Order of the Purifying Light. The Altar is carried onto the battlefield by four
bearers and consists of a raised platform which accommodates a magician of the
Order and a fire-cauldron.

Rangers $23.50
The rangers are an elite-troop of scouts that are
equipped with both a sword and a longbow. They wear scale armour, hooded cloaks
and knee-high boots.

Horse Archers $32.50
The people of the East Mark favour mounted archers as
troops. The archers are able to turn in the saddle whilst riding and therefore
have a wider arc of fire.

Battle-Bull Herds $19.50
The battle-bull herds are a specialty of the East Mark.
Once brought into motion the herd-driver only needs to direct the battle-bulls
in the right direction to leave behind a path of devastation amongst the ranks
of the opponent.

Druid Coven $12.00
The druids dwell in the broad forests of the West Mark.
They place themselves at the disposal of the Empire and are often used as
'special troops' even though their magic is distrusted by the established
church. Besides the druid coven this pack also contains a tree-elemental and an
element with forest-spirits.

Mammoth-Hunters $19.50
The mammoth-hunters are barbarians that reside in the
North Mark. Their name stems from the manner in which they hunt mammoths, as
they use either huge spears or enormous, sharpened tree-trunks that require two
men in order to be carried.

The Rolling Fortress is a construction that has evolved
from the chariot. The vehicle is drawn by four oxen, it is a two story vehicle
that is driven on a double axle. The upper level can either be occupied by four
longbow archers or a single flamethrower.

small stone and incendiary projectiles.

The 'Warriors of Darkness' are a small and mysterious yet
exceptionally fanatical group within the Order of the Purifying Light, that has
committed itself to the fight against demonic activities. They are recruited
from the most resolute believers amongst the Warriors of the Order. Through
special training they are well protected against magical powers.

The Emperor's Guard on Foot $19.50
The Emperor's Guard on foot originated from the Emperor's
personal guard and fight, as the morale value proves, unconditionally for the
good of the Empire. Due to the worsening military situation in the Empire,
smaller sections of the Guard are often placed at the more critical points of a
campaign, or sent to more distant regions to assure the loyalty of the local
governors. The Imperial guardsmen carry hand weapons and are clad in metal
breastplates and carry an exceptionally large shield.

The Emperor's Guard, mounted $23.50
The mounted soldiers of the Imperial Guard ride in full
metal armour and carry alongside their hand weapons a lance and an exceptionally
large shield. Their horses are only partially armoured in metal which gives the
unit an acceptable movement value. The unit has a raised charge bonus due to the
guardsmen having long years of experience in tournaments.
