1420 · Elves Army Book     $15.00

Elves - For the Thainians, they are simply the people of the forest, whom they fight as soon as their ships land on the wooded coast of Iconessa. For the woodcutters and merchants from the southern provinces, the Elves are no more than dangerous natives, who work counter to their economic interests. And for the Imperial settlers they are the forest devils that steal the cattle and ruin the harvest. Only a few people suspect that the forests of Inconessa continue to conceal at least a part of the might that once ruled the world.

This army book describes the Elves of Iconessa, their armies and their history, from the beginning of time.

Included are 54 recruitment cards for units, heroes and artifacts of the Forest Elves, High Elves and their allies, the Centaurs and Treemen. In addition you will also find an overview map, colour illustrations for painting your miniatures, and spell lists for Elvin wizards, priestesses and bards.

4301 Wood Elf Archers    $19.50
The archers often form the bulk of an Elf army. The archers are comprised of unarmored farmers and craftsmen who live in the forests of Iconessa. They are armed with Elvish longbows.

4302 Wood Elf Spearmen    $19.50
Like the archers, the spearmen make up a large share of the clan warriors. They, also, are not warriors by occupation and are called to arms in emergencies only.

4303 Wood Elf Skirmishers    $16.50
These young clan-members, armed with javelins, put their courage to the test by harassing an opponent and annoying them with continuous fire.

4304 Wood Elf Heavy Infantry    $16.50
The heavy infantry of the Elf clans consists of older Thanaril that have extensive fighting-experience and are sufficiently wealthy to provide themselves with a light Elf chain mail.

4305 Wood Elf Hunters    $16.50
The hunters of a Clan frequently join together in wartime to serve as scouts for their lord. A task that nobody else accomplishes as brilliantly as they do.

4306 Wood Elf Thirgar    $19.50
The Thirgar or bodyguards serve their lord as professional warriors. They are well trained and motivated. They are primarily used as shock troops to decide a battle in critical moments.

4307 Wood Elf Unicorn Riders    $19.50
The unicorn riders are recruited only from virgin Elf women, who are the only ones capable of riding the shy unicorns. The unicorns live in secluded herds, and only the oldest members of the Unicorn Guild know where they reside.

4308 Wood Elf Arrow Lords    $16.50
The origins of the Arrow Lords can be traced back to the elite archers of the Elf army. They are regarded as the best archers in the known world. Through their unbelievable abilities they can shoot significantly quicker than comparable missile troops.

4309 Wood Elf Sword Masters    $16.50
The Sword Masters are elegant but deadly fighters. They can be recognized by their slim double-handed Mithril swords, which are lent to new members once they have passed their examination.

4310 Wood Elf Mounted Rangers    $19.50
The Riders' Guild acted as the light cavalry of the Elf army in earlier times. Fitting this task, the rangers are only lightly armoured. They use Elven bows and ride unarmored horses that were bred from the noble steeds of the Second Age.

4311 Wood Elf Badger People    $16.50
The Badger People are still a young warrior guild. After surviving the toughest battles of the emigration phase, many of the Elf warriors looked for new battle tactics that they could adapt to their new home in the forest.

4312 Wood Elf Pegasus Riders    $16.50
This warrior guild originated from the light "airborne" cavalry of the Elf army. The Pegasus Riders are often used as scouts and missile troops, but, as medium cavalry, can also wage melee.

4313 High Elf Extra-Heavy Cavalry "Bel Ludain"    $19.50
Clad in gleaming Mithril armour and equipped with befitting arms, these Elves ride into battle mounted on their heavily-armoured chargers, usually sweeping away everything they are faced with in a casual manner.

4314 High Elf Heavy Infantry "Na Aroth"    $19.50
The heavy infantry are clad in long Mithril plate-armour and carry long pikes into battle. They are so arrogant that they simply ignore any losses inflicted upon them by their opponents, as they regard them as unworthy of their attention.

4315 High Elf Swordsmen    $16.50
The Cailanir or "Sword Souls" are medium infantry that is often used as flank-protection for the heavy infantry. Their moral is legendary. It is said that they have retreated from battle in order to pursue and punish routing troops of their own army.

4316 High Elf Archers    $16.50
The "Luthari" bring the eternal sleep of death. This is the word that was spread in earlier times amongst the human enemies of the Elves. These heavy archers are equipped with Mithril chainmail and Mithril swords. Their main weapon is the Elven longbow, which they use with deadly precision.

4317 High Elf Dragon Rider    $16.50
In former times, the Dragon Riders were another elite unit of the High Council's army. They alone are capable of riding the huge dragons that sleep beneath the city of Llananrion. These dragons are significantly older than the flying dragons that were introduced by the Empire and are therefore bigger and far more dangerous.

4318 High Elf "Avandril Bellir"    $9.50
This school of "young Lords" specializes in using the Mithril long sword of the Ilah Ri. This slim, 1 meter long weapon is extremely dangerous in the hands of these warriors.

4319 High Elf "Galorea"    $9.50
This school, whose name means "the truth of war", emphasizes the quick ending of a fight. Its followers use various hand weapons made from Mithril. They are taught special jump-techniques that assist them in quickly finishing off even large opponents.

4320 High Elf "Til Dolandor"    $9.50
This school of the "tough craftsmen" enables its members to control their strength through an unbelievably high concentration level. This, in conjunction with meditation, allows them to endure pain better.

4321 Centaur Warriors    $16.50
These are the old stallions of the herd, that are used by the chief as his personal bodyguard. In return for this they are allowed to approach the mares. It is also the old stallions that challenge the chief with some chance of success.
