While the M41 field jacket was initially liked by the GIs, it soon proved to be inadequate in the field. It was unable to provide sufficient warmth or protection from rain and it quickly shown it's wear. The M43 field jacket was introduced as an attempt to improve on the M41 Army combat uniform. It proved to be a much superior design with it's four large pockets and increased length.
The M43, made from cotton sateen, was still insufficiently resistant to water and a pile liner was made for colder weather. The color was to be olive drab shade No.7 but typically a lot of variations were made.
The M43 jacket was first used by the 3rd Infantry Division at Anzio in early 1944 but it was well into that summer before the new jacket began to be issued in NW Europe. There were never enough to replace the M41 jacket which was still being worn at the end of the war. Modern armies today still base their uniform design on the 'layering' principles pioneered by the M1943 combat uniform.
The M1943 OD jacket has under-lining. One of the special features from Dragon.
M-1936 suspenders with a BAR M-1937 magazine belt. These six pouches hold up to 12 clips. Dragon's version you see here opens and you can put the clips inside it.

Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR), a gas-operated, magazine fed weapon. It's entirely different to the other two Browning machine guns. Initially designed as a light machine gun for WWI, this BAR became U.S. Army's squad automatic weapon which remained in service until the Korean War.
