USS Skipjack, SSN 585. "Predecessor To All US Navy Fast Attacks" The Skipjack was the US Navy's first submarine to combine nuclear power with the "Tear Drop" hull. When she was completed in 1959 she was one of the worlds most advanced submarines.

The Blue Water Navy kit measures 8.25 inches long and is a perfect first kit. The hull is single casting with metal dive planes.
