Oakland Class Light Cruiser
CL95 USS Oakland

$229.95

CL-95 USS Oakland was part of the second group of Atlanta Class of AA Light Cruisers to be built for the US Navy. Designed for Fleet Defense against Aircraft, the USS Oakland participated in just about every major naval campaign in the Pacific from 1943 through to the signing of the Japanese surrender in Tokyo Bay on 30 August 1945.

The Blue Water Navy model is the only 1/350th scale kit of this ship on the market today. Measuring 18 inches long, this kit is highly detailed. The upper hull is cast as a single piece-casting split at the waterline so the modeler can have a choice as to build a full hull or waterline model. All the large parts, turrets, bridge, and smoke stacks are cast in resin. All small parts are cast in fine pewter. An extensive photo-etched brass sheet is included to finish the kit.
