Benson Class Destroyer
DD483 USS Aaron Ward

$119.95

The Benson class destroyers were the early work horses of WW II. These destroyers were developed for the US Navy during the 1930's. Until the introduction of the Fletcher class, the Bensons were the most numerous DD's in the US Navy. They served in all theaters of WW II.

The Blue Water Navy kit of Aaron Ward depicts the ship as she appeared in the desperate and heroic struggle for Guadalcanal in 1942.

The kit measures 11.5 inches long. A multimedia kit comprising a single resin upper hull, a single piece lower hull (full hull or waterline model), resin stacks, turrets and platforms. Other features include a rounded lower bridge, round smokestacks and an extended center deck house. Small parts are cast in fine pewter for extra strength. A photo-etched brass sheet completes the kit with over 75 parts.
